Virtusa Corporation, a global provider of digital strategy, digital engineering, and IT services and solutions that help clients change and disrupt markets through innovation engineering, introduced its fourth annual instalment of the highly-anticipated Trend Almanac, featuring trends and technologies that will dominate the business and consumer landscape in 2021.

“Now, as companies are breathing a collective sigh of relief and reverting back to ‘business as usual’, the rules have changed and technology is being integrated across all business functionalities. It is incumbent on businesses to sift through their options and identify the best path for their own digital transformation, one that can enable success in the post-pandemic era. That’s our hope with this year’s Trend Almanac, to start these critical conversations,” Virtusa EVP and Head of Digital and Cloud Transformation and Virtusa xLabs Global Head Senthil Ravindran commented.

Virtusa xLabs, the company’s digital innovation unit has had its fingers on the pulse of what’s next in technology, and over the past four years revealed its findings and guidance in the Trend Almanac to help businesses make more informed investment decisions. This year’s instalment includes seven trends that are key to thriving in the new digital era, regardless of a company’s size, maturity and industry.

“We are extremely pleased to release the fourth instalment of our Trend Almanac,” Virtusa Asia Pacific region Senior Vice President and Business Head Naresha Supramaniam stated. “Given the current state of disruption the world is experiencing, we feel it is more relevant now than ever. As organisations all over the world search for new and innovative ways to capitalise on the ‘new normal’, an understanding of the potential of new technologies is essential. This is exactly where the Almanac comes in and we hope it provokes new thinking and helps organisations re-imagine their future.”

As with past Almanacs, Virtusa hopes to help businesses stay on top of emerging technologies, and embrace the inevitable disruption that is crucial for business survival in 2021 going forward.
