Strengthening its dominance in the global electronics arena and further demonstrating its spirit of innovation, Samsung was recently placed first in the Global Top 100 Digital Innovation Leaders ranking, which reveals that it possesses the greatest digital penetration of future technologies and decisively influences today’s global innovation landscape.

The ranking was developed by PatentSight in cooperation with EconSight, a Swiss consulting and economic research company. The ranking focuses on the patent portfolios of companies from a qualitative perspective, making this a reliable ranking of the underlying technologies that Samsung currently possesses. Samsung has consistently pushed the limits of innovation by continuously launching cutting-edge technology over the past five decades, with it last year completing the 50th anniversary of its operations.

Occupying the top slot in this respected ranking, Samsung is renowned for being a global leader in disruptive technologies that have a positive impact on millions across the world by delivering a variety of extraordinary user experiences. During this landmark year of its dynamic growth, Samsung launched several pioneering technologies across the world that suit consumers’ new lifestyles, trends and needs, including its bespoke refrigerator, Sero TV, Galaxy Note, QLED 8K TV and Galaxy Fold. Additionally, it has demonstrated strong growth potential in emerging avenues of technological innovation such as 5G, Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT) and the automotive industry. Moreover, it has achieved the top position globally in the semiconductor memory market and is a technology leader in the industry. Samsung’s QLED 8K television offers the most immersive and dynamic picture, sound and AI capabilities. Accelerating its popularity as one of the most popular smartphone brands, Samsung launched an engineering marvel inspired by precision watch mechanics, the Galaxy Fold, a foldable mobile that folds like a book. With six pro-grade cameras, it captures stunning photos and videos and its Infinity Flex Display is used as a massive viewfinder.

During 2019, Samsung widened the scope of its popular S-Pen further during the year with the launch of the Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ that offer a unique mobile experience that is like a computer, a gaming console, a movie-tech camera and an intelligent pen, all in one device. The Galaxy Note10 and Galaxy Note10+ give people the freedom to work the way they want and showcase their creative spirit, all on the go. Packed with the Note’s most immersive display, a reimagined S Pen, a pro-grade camera and best-in-class specs, the Galaxy Note10 and Note10+ help users do more of what they love. Through the year, Samsung raised experiences with technologies like AI, 5G and mobile devices to the next level.
