SLT successfully conducts Enterprise Customer Forum 2019

Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT), the leading ICT and digital solutions provider in the country successfully conducted a customer forum for the company’s enterprise customers recently. The forum which was held at Shangri-La Hotel, Colombo was attended by over 330 top decision makers of large corporates as well as tech savvy IT professionals representing some of the top enterprises in Sri Lanka.

SLT Chairman P.G. Kumarasinghe Sirisena, SLT CEO Kiththi Perera as well as senior management were present at the event, giving customers an opportunity to directly meet with the company’s top management. SLT CEO addressed the forum, shedding light on SLT’s future plans to empower the enterprise market in Sri Lanka, especially with regards to supporting individual enterprises to achieve their own digital transformations.

“SLT is fully geared and ready to lead Sri Lankan enterprises into the new digital era,” he commented. “SLT has made colossal investments on latest state-of-the-art technologies and capabilities that are necessary to ensure that we will continue to be the preferred technology partner for enterprises in Sri Lanka. Some of these include SLT Akaza, our multi-cloud platform which comprises of SLT Premium Cloud, VMWare Cloud Provider Programme, SLT Intelligence Cloud, Azure Stack and Oracle Private Cloud Appliance, to name just a few.

SLT annually holds these customer forums with the aim of strengthening relationships with its valuable customers as well as to inform and share knowledge about new products and services that will support their growth and development as well as their digital journeys. Thus, during this forum, the company shared information about newly launched products and services that will support these companies to expedite their digital journey by providing them with the opportunity to conceptualise their digital journeys with the support of SLT’s portfolio of modern, state-of-the-art enterprise solutions.

A panel discussion was also held with various industry experts including Hemas Holdings PLC Chief Digital Officer Chandima Cooray, HNB CIO Ruwan Bakmedeniya, LOLC Group CIO Condrad Dias and Lanka Clear Ltd. CEO/MD Channa De Silva, with John Keells IT Head of Marketing Rohan Jayaweera moderating the session. The panel discussion which was conducted under the topic ‘The role of SLT and technology support ecosystem in Sri Lanka to support top enterprises to cross the chasm’ was opened up to discuss the role played by SLT in the digital transformation of large enterprises in Sri Lanka. This session was very much appreciated by the participants, due to the rich information content shared and discussed. 

The forum was followed by a networking session, providing valuable opportunities for customers to interact with SLT’s top management and voice their opinions as well as get their queries answered. SLT revealed plans to introduce many more digital solutions in the near future such as SDWAN, managed SOC as well as industry specific IOT solutions.
