SLASSCOM AI ASIA Summit: Leveraging businesses for a digitally-driven future

The much-awaited SLASSCOM AI Asia Summit due to take place from 25-27 February is slated to bring

together a host of AI experts from a range of businesses to go beyond the buzz and hype, and share their developments, real-life cases, successes, challenges and the resultant impact on their businesses. 

Aimed at discussing the reality, future and issues of AI and shed light on the latest technologies in this field, the summit will strike a fine balance between cutting edge research and applications across a broad range of industries and businesses providing both local and international organisations a unique opportunity to stay connected and up-to-date with the latest developments happening within the world of AI.

Targeted for CTOs, heads of AI, scientists, technologists, academics, startups and investors, the summit will showcase an exclusive gathering of  major influencers in AI for three full days of mind-boggling innovation and discussions on AI, applied solutions for enterprise, hands-on workshops and  plans for advancing the application of AI in the country.

The lineup of speakers include Dr. Romesh Ranawana who will give an insight into the development of Intelligent Robotics Platforms, whilst Prof. Marija Slavkovik Associate Professor at University of Bergen, and  the vice-chair of the Norwegian Artificial Intelligence Society and member of the informal advisory group on Ethical, Legal, Social Issues, will address the topic of Ethics in AI.  

Summarising the latest developments of the applications of AI in medicine, Prof. Emi Yuda, Assistant Professor at the Center for Data driven Science and Artificial Intelligence, Tohuku University,  will highlight how AI could play a leading role in healthcare systems of the future, augmenting clinical resources and ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

Another trending topic discussed will be the need to build up AI both in academia and small and medium-sized enterprises. The session will be presented Dr. Morten Goodwin, Associate Professor at UiA, from the Center for Artificial Intelligence Research.
