SHe CISO Exec. global cybersecurity and leadership program in Sri Lanka

SHe CISO Exec., the inaugural cybersecurity and leadership program to be held in October is the first of a series of global give back events offering up to 100% scholarships for the right applicants and has already attracted interest from many global organisations and leaders from around the world. Hosted by Meta Defence Labs UK and Sri Lanka, this comprehensive five-day boot camp will be held from 29 October to 2 November at The Kingsbury hotel, Colombo. 

Participants from any industry in the roles of CXOs to entrepreneurs, IT specialists, information security and business professionals can apply and gain essential knowledge on all areas of information security domains along with industry best practices combined with interactive workshops on leadership skills and self-development; conducted by highly-qualified internationally recognised industry leaders.

Under the banner ‘SHe CISO Exec.’, this series has been designed to be a sustainable global training and mentoring platform in information security and leadership. The vision is to train and empower a new generation in the information security talent pool with a high emphasis on attracting more women to be information security leaders. The program will focus to help bridge the skill gap, diversity gap and the confidence gap by strengthening the knowledge and competence base of cybersecurity savvy future leaders that organisations can rely on to conduct business securely. By investing in the right workforce, this initiative will help create the right talent pool and awareness to face fast-evolving cybercrime which is a critical risk factor to businesses. 

The project founder Chani Simms (managing director of Meta Defence Labs UK and Sri Lanka) joined hands with several other award-winning global experts in both information security and leadership skill development to conceptualise this uniquely crafted program which offers its participants an engaging learning experience capturing the quintessential blend of information security training, leadership skill development, speed mentoring, coaching, networking opportunities and much more. Entrepreneurs, individuals outside the industry (non-IT), managers and employees using technological assets may apply for the program. Funding options can be arranged for qualifying participants.
