Rootcode Labs celebrated the end of the year by revelling and recalling its wonderful memories of 2019 in style at its Annual Gala Night, held at Elevate in Access Towers in Colombo. 

Together with the team of Rootcoders, the event hosted a number of noteworthy individuals representing the Sri Lankan IT industry to witness the growth and milestones of the emerging company. 

The families of the Rootcoders were also present at the event to witness the proceedings and were greatly appreciated for offering the support needed for the Rootcoders to succeed in their careers. 

The Chief Guest for the evening was IFS Software Operations Vice President Mangala Perera, who delivered an insightful speech on Intrapreneurship, the act of practising the characteristics of an entrepreneur while working within an organisation. 

He outlined the importance of aspiring employees taking up responsibility and driving innovation, from product development to process improvements, while growing within the team to create an impact and add value to the organisation.

Rootcode Labs Founder and CEO Alagan Mahalingam told the crowd about the achievements in 2019, including the new footprint in Europe through a brand new office in Estonia. He also shared statistics about how sales had reached new countries and continents in 2019. Mahalingam went on to present his grand vision for Rootcode and shared his 2025 targets, which include growing to 500 employees, making Artificial intelligence (AI) a priority and building an enterprise product to solve businesses’ biggest problems.
