With unlimited global demand for Sri Lankan talent when it comes to software development, Just In Time Group (JIT) is a testament to the fact that Sri Lankan developers are on par or even beyond its counterparts from other countries.

With the advent of the technology export industry in Sri Lanka, which has seen huge success in the recent past, JIT is proud of its resources who have proven themselves time and again as consistent and reliable in this arena.

At the recently concluded PrintEx 2019 which is the largest exhibition for printing and packaging in Australia held at the Sydney Olympic Park, Quote & Print (Q&P) Australia launched the newest version of its Cloud Version and JIT is elated to be associated with this success.

The development of the Cloud Version of the Q&P software (offered as SaaS) was undertaken by JIT and built from inception in Colombo, with the guidance from Australian consultants using the latest Microsoft technology stack. This successfull rollout by Team JIT for Q&P was then launched at the prominent PrintEx 2019.

“The staff that have been dedicated to this project are diligent, hardworking, supportive, motivated, take ownership and pride in their work and are easy to work with,” said Q&P Software Managing Director Shanti Kumar.

Team JIT used Agile-Scrum which allowed the consultants to preview the outcome well in advance and enabled to update the software to suit the latest trends and practices of the printing industry. Apart from the development of the software, Team JIT manages the DevOps of the software which is hosted on Microsoft Azure environment. It is for this expertise, that Team JIT was invited to train the sales and support teams on the new features of the software and to also conduct demonstrations to the participants at PrintEx 2019.

JIT Project Manager Lakshitha enthusiastically commented: “It was a great experience to witness the wide range of cutting-edge technologies of the print industry which will govern the next few years. It was also a great opportunity to meet and discuss with industry experts from around the world.”

PrintEx 2019 took place in Sydney from 13-16 August this year – with more than 120 exhibitors showcasing their latest technologies, a packed program of keynotes, masterclasses, panel sessions and workshops, and some of the industry’s leading events.

Quote & Print (Q&P) for over 38 years has provided management information systems solutions for the printing and packing industry. The software has been produced by Q&P and installed with continuous updates for over 700 printers in 12 countries across Australia, New Zealand, Asia, and the Middle East region.

JIT commenced operations 23 years ago and since its humble beginnings, JIT has grown from a team of four members to a group of 290 employees with varied Information and Communications Technology (ICT) offerings ranging from systems integration to Geographical Information Systems (GIS). Apart from its core business of systems integration, JIT has made heaps and bounds in its software development and skilled developer outsourcing arm both locally and overseas.
