LSEG Sri Lanka recognised for brand excellence and corporate responsibility

London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) Sri Lanka and LSEG Technology won several awards this year, including two awards for Brand Excellence and three for Best Use of CSR Practices in the IT industry. These awards underscore how the organisation’s ‘engineering excellence, everyday’ mantra has permeated all aspects of its operations in Sri Lanka. 

In August this year, LSEG was recognised at the Asia Excellence Awards with awards for Best Use of CSR Practices in the IT Industry and Brand Excellence in the IT Industry. 

In July 2019, LSEG won three organisational and one individual award at the Sri Lanka Leadership and Employer Branding Awards ceremony held at the Taj Samudra, Colombo. LSEG Technology was recognised for Brand Excellence in the IT Sector and as one of Sri Lanka’s Best Employer Brands. LSEG was further recognised for the Best Use of CSR Practices in the IT industry. 

At the same event, LSEG Sri Lanka Head of Inclusive Diversity Bani Chandrasena was named as one of Sri Lanka’s Women Leaders, a recognition endorsed by the World Women’s Leadership Congress and CMO Asia. 

In February, LSEG Sri Lanka was recognised for Best Use of CSR Practices in the IT industry at the World Federation of CSR, endorsed by World CSR Day. Alongside this win, Head of LSEG’s Marketing and Corporate Communication in Sri Lanka Shanaka Abeywickrama was named one of 101 Most Impactful Global CSR Leaders at the Global CSR Excellence and Leadership Awards.

Global Head of Shared Services and Head of LSEG Technology Sri Lanka Dee Liyanwela said: “I am extremely proud of the team for their fantastic efforts. These accolades are a testament to the ethos of excellence London Stock Exchange Group is synonymous with.”
