Dialog Axiata Group, Sri Lanka’s premier connectivity provider, announced the launch of the Dialog Enterprise Cloud, a cloud platform that caters to the cloud needs and requirements of Sri Lankan enterprises, in turn strengthening the country’s enterprise cloud industry and digitisation efforts.

The Dialog Enterprise Cloud extends the capabilities of a Software Defined Data Centre (SDDC) with a feature-rich, self-service cloud environment where enterprises can enjoy a fully-fledged cloud experience with on-demand elasticity, streamlined onboarding and hybrid cloud operations enabling them to manage their cloud services easily and efficiently, with best-in-class operations, management and controls.

It is a complete greenfield deployment, built with high performance infrastructure (built on Solid State Disk based all flash) and hosted at Sri Lanka’s first Tier III and ISO 27001:2013 certified data centre, ensuring high availability and security. With the Dialog Enterprise Cloud, Sri Lankan enterprises of varying magnitudes can experience a unique local cloud experience built to global standards.

Launched in partnership with VMware, the Dialog Enterprise Cloud offers advanced cloud solutions and the ability for businesses to design their own Virtual Data Centre (VDC) and gain control of it. Organisations now have access to virtualised infrastructure, networking, storage, memory and elements of security, along with Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS) and Backup as a Service (BaaS) facilities.

While its customer centric portal takes the user experience to the next level, the 24x7 service support from Dialog adds more value to enterprises. Further, enterprises are provided with multiple connectivity options to the VDC, while overall ITa overheads and expenditure are reduced.

Speaking at the launch,

Dialog Axiata PLC Dialog Enterprise Group Chief Officer Jeremy Huxtable said: “A majority of Dialog’s enterprise customers are now looking to move their applications to cloud services, due to the benefits attached to adopting a cloud-based platform, along with the massive adoption of digitisation strategies happening across industries. The services being offered by the Dialog Enterprise Cloud are unmatched in the country and will ensure greater flexibility and efficiency for small, medium and large-scale enterprises.”
