Dialog Play Expo hosts Sri Lanka’s largest gamer prize pool, Game Hero

Sri Lanka’s largest digital entertainment and technology expo, Dialog Play Expo kicked off on 7 December and concluded yesterday at the Sri Lanka Exhibition and Convention Centre. The expo included the finale of the first instalment of the Dialog Game Hero Tournament, which took place from 1 July to 30 November, and crowned the winners of the thrilling racing game, Se7en Gear. The grand finale of Game Hero was held at the Dialog Play Expo and was inclusive of a Rs. 3,000,000 prize pool, the largest cash prize for a mobile title in Sri Lanka.

The champion, Anuranga Ariyadasa, took home a cash prize of Rs. 1,000,000, making him the first Sri Lankan to do so in any e-sports tournament, while first runner-up Ramesh Shanuka was awarded a cash prize of Rs. 500,000, and second runner-up Kasun Madhuwantha received a cash prize of Rs. 200,000.
