Creative Software made an outstanding achievement, winning the Excellence in Business and Financial Results award for medium sector organisations, and becoming Runners-up for the ICT Sector Services award at the National Business Excellence Awards 2018, organised by the National Chamber of Commerce. The award ceremony was held on 5 December at The Hilton, Colombo, with the participation of Ambassador for the European Union to Sri Lanka and Maldives Thorsten Bargfrede as Chief Guest.
The award’s objective is to recognise and reward enterprises that have excelled in different criteria, such as corporate governance, capacity building, performance management, global and local market reach, corporate social responsibility & environmental sustainability and business and financial results.
NBEA also aims to encourage Sri Lankan organisations to emulate those excellent organisations, and position Sri Lanka as a country with well managed organisations, thereby making it attractive for foreign investments, joint ventures, and as a source for products and services.
“We are honoured to be ranked among Sri Lanka’s best managed organisations. Winning two awards and one in an overall category the very first time we applied for NBEA is a great encouragement. It really shows us we are headed in the right direction. We are thrilled about this recognition, but it will not stop us from further improving our performance in all areas in the future,” stated Director Sushena Ranatunga.
The National Business Excellence Awards is the flagship event of the National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka. An annual awards competition, it was held for the 15th consecutive year in 2018. NBEA prides itself for the perceptive evaluation criteria, which takes a well-rounded view of a company. It comprises of an evaluation of an organisation’s financial stability, reach in global markets, excellence in process innovation, capital investment, corporate social responsibility and more.
