‘Hype or Opportunity? The evolution of new technologies’

Professor Sir Mark Welland, the Head of the Nanoscience Centre at the University of Cambridge, UK, will be speaking on ‘Hype or Opportunity? The evolution of new technologies’ at the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce on 4 April at 9 a.m.

A world-renowned authority in Nanoscience, Sir Mark was also an advisor to the UK Ministry of Defence, and will highlight the importance of Research and Development in the growth of the GDP of a nation. The talk will provide you an opportunity to gather some useful insights into some of the new technologies available globally which may be relevant to your industry. He will also illustrate the importance of using R&D as a way to keep ahead of the competition.

The event is being held under the auspices of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Research and the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce.
