Outward-bound Singapore (OBS) has celebrated its 50th anniversary at the Pulau Ubin campus with the participation of the Prime Minister of Singapore.

During the visit, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong had the opportunity to interact with several alumni members from different generations since the inception of OBS in 1967. He personally heard the experiences of these alumni members and the impact of their OBS experience on them.

Sri Lanka Outward Bound is operated by the Outward-Bound Trust of Sri Lanka and Singapore Outward Bound has provided Sri Lanka with technical support and training.

As an alumni member of OBS himself, the Prime Minister also shared anecdotes of his personal Outward-Bound experience during his speech.  One of the key points of his speech highlighted how “the mission of OBS – to develop mentally and physically rugged youths to be active citizens inspired to serve the community - is more relevant than ever”.
