NHRDC - CASL seminar on ‘Good Governance for Directors of Public Enterprises’ on 10 April

A workshop on‘Good Governance for Chairmen and Directors of Public Enterprises’ will be conducted at CA Sri Lanka on 10 April, with the participation of Speaker of ParliamentKaru Jayasuriya. World Bank Country DirectorIdah Pswarayi-Riddihough will deliver the key-note address, focusing on the South Asian experience. 

A handbook on good governance,an initiative of National Human Resources Development Council (NHRDC), CASL and SLID,and developed by a committee appointed by the Ministry of National Policies and Economic Affairs, will be officially launched. 

The workshop would be followed by a panel discussion chaired by NHRDC Chairman Dinesh Weerakkody, including World Bank Country DirectorIdah Pswarayi-Riddihough, Chairman Public Sector Accounting Standards Committee (CA Sri Lanka) and APFASL President V. Kanagasabapathy, Auditor General Gamini Wijesinghe, Sri Lanka Institute of Directors President Preethi Jayawardena, and Central Bank of Sri Lanka Additional Director (Bank Supervision) Dr. Roshan Perera.
