CIMA President’s Centenary Dinner celebrating CIMA›s 100 years was held on 8 March at Merchant Taylors’ Hall in London. The Institute of Cost and Works Accountants was formed on 8 March 1919 in England. The status of management accounting as a distinct branch of the accounting profession was recognised by the granting of a Royal Charter in 1975. CIMA is the largest management accounting body in the world, with 285,000 students and around 107,000 members.
