CIMA President’s Centenary Dinner celebrating CIMA›s 100 years was held on 8 March at Merchant Taylors’ Hall in London. The Institute of Cost and Works Accountants was formed on 8 March 1919 in England. The status of management accounting as a distinct branch of the accounting profession was recognised by the granting of a Royal Charter in 1975. CIMA is the largest management accounting body in the world, with 285,000 students and around 107,000 members. CIMA Global President Steven Swientozielskyj is pictured with Dinesh Weerakkody HNB Chairman and Crishan Mendis of Hayleys PLC at Merchant Taylors’ Hall in London.
