The Australian High Commission is pleased to announce the Australia Awards selection for the 2021 intake is now complete. Seventeen awardees from Sri Lanka have been selected for the 2021 intake to be mobilised in early 2022.

Australia Awards are prestigious international Scholarships and Fellowships funded by the Australian Government. They offer an opportunity for the next generation of global leaders to undertake study, research, and professional development in Australia.

Australia has been offering scholarships in the region for more than 75 years. The 2021 awardees will undertake masters level degrees at Australia’s top universities in a range of priority areas that broadly align with Australia’s post COVID development strategy.

The Australian High Commission together with Australia Awards Sri Lanka and Maldives will hold a series of pre-departure briefings for the successful awardees to give them the best start for their study period in Australia.

Australian High Commissioner David Holly will host two farewell events for Sri Lanka and Maldives either at the end of this year or beginning of 2022 to congratulate the successful Australia Award recipients.
