AAT Sri Lanka, the pioneer in producing middle level accounting professionals for Sri Lanka, held its Passed Finalists Certificate Awarding Ceremony recently at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH), Colombo. The students awarded certificates at the ceremony included those who had successfully completed the final level of the AAT Examinations held in January 2019. Representing all districts in the island, 1,149 passed finalists were invited to receive their certificates at this awards ceremony.

Lanka Bell PLC Managing Director Dr. Prasad Samarasinghe graced the occasion as the Chief Guest while CA Sri Lanka Vice President Manil Jayesinghe joined as Guest of Honour. In addition, AAT Sri Lanka President Magdon Ismail, members of the Governing Council of AAT and parents and well-wishers of the passed finalists attended the function.

AAT has become the most respected first professional qualification that school-leavers come across soon after the O/L examination. AAT Sri Lanka has always been a great supporter in providing a sound professional foundation to the youth of the country and the contribution it makes for the upliftment of professional middle level accountants over the past three decades. Today, AAT is considered the strongest foundation which provides access to many other professional courses, and an entry qualification to universities to qualify as graduates. The AAT’s increasing local and global recognition, its unique features of enabling access to youth in all corners of the island, facilitating education and conducting examinations all three languages, and competitive fee structure contribute to the attractiveness of the qualification.
