Implementation of the law could control the spread of dengue, said North Western Province Governor A.J.M. Muzammil.

The Governor made the above comments at a special discussion (18) on controlling the outbreak of dengue in the North Western Province. The discussion was held at the Governor’s office.

He further said that the risk of dengue was high and that the President had advised all Governors to implement dengue eradication programs in their respective provinces. “Accordingly, all institutions have extended their support and we must properly carry out programs to educate the public at the urban and rural level about eradication and prevention of dengue. We can control the spread of dengue by creating awareness among people through such programs,” he said.

The Governor issued a directive to the relevant authorities to identify the places of dengue and take necessary legal actions in accordance with the prevailing laws. He added that dengue could be eradicated through proper implementation of the law.
