The world as we have made it, is now churning towards that which we do not know. Some call it the height of the new dark age and they say that this time frame started when we forgot to treat this earth as our mother and began to exploit her along with her diverse children.

That this age started when supremacy and dominance sailed in ships and plundered the sacred and the sovereignty of an existence that was as ancient as the earth.

That this age started when the blood of the earth, its very core sustenance, began to be drained into pockets of exploiters and the mountains stripped of its lifesaving garments.

That this age started when new frameworks of cynicism were caned into minds and people were made to feel ashamed of the ancient and the unknown that was taught to them by grace of the eternal cosmic teachers; sun, the mountains, the trees, the earth, the lakes and the seas.

That this age started when we dug deep into the earth with claws of greed and laid foundations upon which we built industries that pollute us with that black smoke of suffocation, where just a handful reap a dark dividend they in their blindness see as light.

That this age started when we caged every beautiful thing, pillaged its beauty and waved the wand of sorrow over it, clothing that emptiness with a garb that has since then travelled the world masquerading as happiness.

They now say that this age is here to stay, and we do not know for how long, while man is slowly one by one being summoned to the coffin, to be cast untimely, into that earth he bruised and maimed and slaughtered; the earth he had turned into a theatre of war, killing his brother with ammunition of ignorance and hate.

That this earth which humans have turned into a gasping skeleton, moaning out the last wisps of breadth, has now started kissing the whole human race a dismal goodbye, returning in kind what was done unto it.
