Musical show to mark 100th birth anniversary of Mohideen Baig

A musical show has been organised at the St. Anthony’s College Auditorium, Katugastota to mark the 100th birth anniversary of great singer late Kalashuri Mohideen Baig. It will be held today 3 November from 6 p.m. onwards and Ishaq Mohideen Baig will perform the program.

Baig was born in the Salem District of India on 5 December 1919 and was a popular Sri Lankan musician. He sang in Sinhala, Tamil, Islamic and Urdu.
