Hilton Colombo celebrates the ‘Original’ Oktoberfest!

Traditional highlights and favourites are back at the sports centre arena at the Hilton Colombo, with its highly-anticipated annual event, Oktoberfest, taking place from 1 to 10 November. The celebrations are spearheaded by German-born Executive Chef Robert Mujagic, who is ready to cater to more than 10,000 guests at this year’s event popularly known to be the ‘Original’ Oktoberfest. Robert has tapped into his Bavarian roots to create an Oktoberfest menu to remember and diners are sure to be delighted with the impressive spread served up by the hotel. “Guests must try the sausages, the meatloaf, homemade sauerkraut – all prepared in real German style. As for desserts, the kaiserschmarrn and apple strudel with vanilla sauce are absolute must-haves too!” said Chef, amidst the hustle and bustle of celebrations kicking off. Buffet rates and timings: Sunday to Thursday (7 p.m. to midnight) – Rs. 2,888 nett and Friday and Saturday (7 p.m. to 1 a.m.) – Rs. 3,888 nett and the VIP package Rs. 5,000 nett includes table service
