Colombo Jaffna Classic Motorcade – ‘In Friendship We Drive’

The Colombo Jaffna Classic Motorcade is a friendship drive from Colombo to the northern capital of Jaffna in classic cars from the ’50s, ’60s and ’70s, organised by a passionate group of vintage automobile enthusiasts.

The motorcade departed from Colombo last evening (12). It will proceed to Jaffna via Anuradhapura, making brief stops on the way and thus providing some rarely seen eye candy for Sri Lankans en route.

Upon arrival in Jaffna today and after a brief drive around the city, the cars will be placed on exhibition at the Jaffna Fort where the public and likeminded enthusiasts will be welcomed to visit and view them. 

The motorcade will leave Jaffna tomorrow (14) morning and return to Colombo. The Colombo Jaffna Classic Motorcade is founded by Dr. Rizvi Hasan, a respected connoisseur in the classic car circuits of Sri Lanka.
