‘Pet Sematary’ in five Lankan cinemas now

American supernatural horror film ‘Pet Sematary’ is now showing in five Sri Lankan cinemas.

The cinemas are Colombo City Center, Liberty by Scope Cinemas, MC Cinemas, Empire and Milano.

The movie is an adaptation of the novel of the same name by Stephen King.

The film stars Jason Clarke, Amy Seimetz, and John Lithgow, and follows a family that discovers a mysterious graveyard in the woods behind their new home.

Dr. Louis Creed and his wife, Rachel, relocate from Boston to rural Maine with their two young children. The couple soon discover a mysterious burial ground hidden deep in the woods near their new home. When tragedy strikes, Louis turns to his neighbour Jud Crandall, setting off a perilous chain reaction that unleashes an unspeakable evil with horrific consequences.

The movie has received positive reviews from critics, with many calling it one of the best Stephen King adaptations.

The film is directed by Kevin Kölsch and Dennis Widmyer and written by Jeff Buhler, from a screen story by Matt Greenberg.
