SLT Campus signs a MoU with world-renowned Lancaster University

Adding to its list of accreditations and affiliations, the Sri Lanka Technological Campus (SLTC), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with world-renowned Lancaster University. This MoU will give students at SLTC the power to innovate and go beyond boundaries with one of the most recognised degrees in the world. 

Lancaster University has been ranked as one of UK’s Top 10, and is in the top 1% of universities globally. Lancaster has also earned the distinction of being the “best value for money university in England”, and achieved an overall student satisfaction score that reflects the dedication of staff and curriculum respectively.

SLTC will offer the 2+2 programme, where students can transfer to Lancaster University to complete the last two years of their Bachelors or Integrated Masters Degree subject to successful completion of SLTC Diploma, Lancaster University eligibility criteria and interview.

Speaking on the partnership, SLTC CEO R.G. Rubasinghe said, “It is a great privilege for students at SLTC to study with the Lancaster University as this will open up vast possibilities in their future endeavours.  This 2+2 degree will hone them to be perfect candidates for head hunters who look for skills, intelligence and accrued knowledge in their fields of study.”

Minimum prerequisites for the degree programme include Simple passes in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics at the Local/Edexcel or Cambridge Advanced Level Examination in the Physical Science stream. Students pending A/L results are also encouraged to apply on the condition that they meet the requirements. 

The SLTC degree programmes are developed in line with the Washington Accord (an international agreement among bodies responsible for accrediting Engineering degree programmes) and the Sri Lanka Qualifications Framework Guidelines. The panel of lecturers are experts in their respective fields and have many years of experience. Students are also

The Campus is located at the SLT Satellite Station in Padukka in the proximity of Colombo. SLTC can accommodate students in a comfortable environment located on a sprawling 35-acre property. The campus also has all required facilities including Laboratories, Classrooms, Auditorium and Library. The administrative office and the city campus is based at TRACE expert city in Maradana.
