NHRDC launches teacher training programs

National Human Resources Development Council of Sri Lanka (NHRDC) in collaboration with the Ministry of Education has organised a series of career guidance and orientation programs for teachers in 2019 in selected zones. 

The first program of 2019 was held at Kuruwita Education Division Office for the career guidance teachers of Ratnapura Education zone on 22 March. Around 110 school teachers attended the program. The focus was to create awareness and strengthen the capability of the teachers to provide career guidance and career counselling within schools. The objective of the career counselling effort is to provide school children a more systematic and thoughtful way to make a better choice for themselves.
