Old Anandians host Golden Nite 2018

The ‘Golden Nite 2018 - Dinner Dance’ was held by the Old Anandians 75-80 Groupat Waters Edge, Battaramullarecently for the 33rd successive year with the participation of reputed past Anandians and other distinguished guests. The Old Anandians 75-80 Group is an affiliated body of the main Old Boys Association of Ananda College, Colombo. This year the group has been presented with the responsibility of renovating and maintaining the Buddha Jayanthi Buildingof Ananda College which is second in importance only to the AnandaBuddhu Madura. Another major event carried out by the group was the hosting of all past and present teachers of the school to a medical camp where medical examinations were conducted by consultants who were Old Anandians. Furthermore, a social service project was conducted in an underdeveloped school in Walioya to upgrade its basic facilities. The Golden Nite Dinner Dance is the main fundraiser for all these activities
