Fresh seafood and Sri Lankan flavor, an invincible combination

Colombo Seafood Festival 2017 jointly organised by the Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Development Ministry and the National Aquatic Resources Research and Development Agency commenced yesterday(08) to be continued till 10 December on the Green Path and Viharamahadevi Park premises. President Maithripala Sirisena attended the opening ceremony yesterday as the chief guest.

Minister of fisheries and Aquatic Resources Development Mahinda Amaraweera and State Minister A. H. M. Fawzey also took part in the event.

The Festival will also consist of seminars on seafood and nutrition, technical instructions and guidance for entrepreneurs and self-employment based on the seafood industry, display and retail of fish and seafood products, live cooking programs conducted by experienced chefs with seafood cooking competitions, educational programs on aquatic resources for students, exhibitions on marine and inland aquatic resources, fun games, cultural and musical shows.
