First-ever Photojournalism Exhibition at J.D.A. Perera Gallery this weekend

The inaugural photo exhibition by the Sri Lanka Photojournalists Association (PASL,) Photo Exhibition 2019, opened yesterday with President Maithripala Sirisena, Speaker Karu Jayasuriya, and Opposition Leader Mahinda Rajapaksa in attendance. The exhibition was unveiled at 3 p.m. at the J.D.A. Perera Gallery and features the work of some of Sri Lanka’s leading photojournalists. The event yesterday paid tribute to eight senior photojournalists – Sena Vidanagama, Bandu S. Kodikara, late Srilal Gomes, Saranapala Pamunawa, S. Chithrananda, U.N. Perera, Wolter Perera and Alfred Silva – while the winners of the Photo Competition were presented their awards at the ceremony. The exhibition will be open to the public today and tomorrow. Gallery opening hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.\
