Association of Consuls in Sri Lanka holds Biennial General Meeting

The Association of Consuls in Sri Lanka Biennial General Meeting was held at the Galadari Hotel recently. Foreign Affairs Ministry Secretary Ravinatha Aryasinha was the Chief Guest at the function. The Association consists of Honorary Consuls representing 60 countries in Sri Lanka. The Honorary Consuls play a duel role promoting the countries they represent and also promoting Sri Lanka in their respective countries.  The office bearers elected were: Dudley Thambinayagam – Vice President/Treasurer, Cally Alles – Secretary, Priya Jayawardene, Manik Pereira, Seneka Amerasinghe, Dr. Lohitha Samerewickrema, Senaka Silva and Geoffrey Aloysius.   – Pix by Upul Abayasekara
