Reuters: More than 799,800 people have been infected by the novel coronavirus across the world and 38,854 have died, according to a Reuters tally.

Infections have been reported in more than 200 countries and territories since the first cases were identified in China in December 2019. Major death tolls are from Italy (11,591), Spain (8,189), Mainland China (3,305), US (3,024), France (3,024), Iran (2,898),  nited Kingdom (1,408), and Netherlands (1,039).
