Softlogic Holdings, in partnership with Samsung, opened its first-ever premium products store yesterday featuring the latest QLED and UHD TVs as well as Virtual Reality (VR) experiences.

The space is equipped with the latest products such as QLED and UHD TVs, side-by-side refrigerators, energy efficient high capacity washing machines, microwave ovens and the full range of Samsung mobile phones to give the consumer an enhanced shopping experience. It also provides customers with a Virtual Reality (VR) experience equipped with a VR chair operated by a hydraulics mechanism to deliver a life-like experience.

“This is a first-of-its-kind store in Sri Lanka, with a premium shopping experience for the consumer. This is the exact replica of the Madrid Samsung experience store. We have been a ‘Samsung premium partner’ since 2010 and Samsung being the world leader in consumer electronics and mobiles, provides the consumer with a real experience of all latest premium retail products of Samsung under one roof,” Softlogic Retail Director Induka Perera told Daily FT.

With design concepts such as Frame TV and the latest products such as QLED and UHD TVs, Samsung hopes to further provide the consumer with a glimpse into Samsung’s innovative device convergence. The store offers customers the experience of Samsung’s connected ecosystems, where appliances and devices are connected and managed through a single application, promoting a human-centered approach through technology. “We have come to a new chapter of retail experience with regards to consumer electronics and appliances. The Frame TV is a first-of-its-kind in Sri Lanka. From industrial washing machines, the latest innovative and high-quality TVs to the latest mobile phones, this store gives the customer an experience unmatched by other Samsung stores in the country,” said Samsung Consumer Electronics Head Sabry Anser. The store stands out from other Samsung stores in the country as it is equipped with well-trained consultants to offer customers personal assistance to maximise their experience using Samsung appliances and devices. The store, located at No. 14 De Fonseka Place, Colombo 5, was opened to the public in the presence of Samsung Sri Lanka Managing Director Hanbay Park and Softlogic Holdings Chairman Ashok Pathirage, together with the Samsung and Softlogic teams.
