MAGA Engineering wins Rs. 4.2 b road contract

The Cabinet last week approved awarding a Rs. 4.2 billion contract to MAGA Engineering Ltd. for the rehabilitation and improvement to the road section from Kirulapone to Godagama and the road section from Pamankada to Pokunuvita, under the Southern Road Connectivity Project.

The Company was the substantially responsive evaluated bidder as recommended by the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee. 

Bids were invited under the International Competitive Procedure. The project is funded by the Asian Development Bank.

The proposal was presented to Cabinet by Minister of Roads and Highways Johnston Fernando.
