Veteran Finance Secret-ary Dr. P.B. Jayasundera is to be appointed the Secretary to President

Jayasundera was one of the longest serving Treasury Secretaries when Mahinda Rajapaksa was the President and Finance Minister. 

Another seasoned Central Bank official S.R. Attygalle is to be appointed Secretary to the Treasury and the Ministry of Finance by President Rajapaksa

Attygalle previously served as the Deputy Secretary to the Treasury and briefly as Secretary to the Treasury before reverting to the Central Bank as a Deputy Governor.  Senior retired army officer Major General Kamal Gunaratna is to be appointed Secretary to the Ministry of Defence.
