Global COVID-19 cases cross 1.2m, death toll passes 65,000

Reuters: Over 1.21 million people have been reported infected by the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) across the world, and 65,810 have died, according to a Reuters tally.

Infections have been reported in more than 200 countries and territories since the first cases were identified in China in December 2019.

The countries that have reported most deaths are Italy (15,362), Spain (12,418), the US (8,457), France (7,560), the UK (4,313), Iran (3,603), China (3,329), Netherlands (1,766), Belgium (1,447), and Germany (1,420).
