Sri Lanka Insurance awarded most valuable General Insurance Brand by Brand Finance 2019

Brand Finance Sri Lanka Managing Director Ruchi Gunawardhene hands over the official certification to Sri Lanka Insurance CEO Chandana L. Aluthgama endorsing Sri Lanka Insurance General Insurance as the most valuable General Insurance brand of 2019. Chief Officer Business Development Rukman Weeraratne was also present on this occasion

Sri Lanka Insurance General Insurance category is a well-recognised and trusted brand. Having transformed itself into a dynamic and financially viable corporation many years ago, it is now on a quest to solidify its leadership position through even better customer service. In recognition of its achievements, Sri Lanka Insurance General Insurance category has been awarded the prestigious Brand Finance Most Valuable General Insurance Brand in 2019. The 16th edition of this annual publication was recently released by Brand Finance.  

 

 

Sri Lanka Insurance General Insurance category enjoys the benefit of its Government ownership along with its dynamic customer centric service support, equivalent to any that a private sector corporation could offer, thereby earning trust for its brand.

Sri Lanka Insurance CEO Chandana L. Aluthgama said, “Paying out a general insurance claim happens under stressful conditions for our customers as it would have been due to loss or damage of property or some other disruption in their lives. The most important thing that customers want at that time is peace of mind and to be able to get on with their lives with speedy settlements. In recognition of this, we have been able to successfully set up systems of handling claims as smoothly as possible with the minimal of delay. Our customers have come to appreciate this and in many cases have become loyal customers. Whilst we are fully Government owned, we do business like the private sector. So, we have the best of both worlds.”

The Brand Finance award has been made possible as the business has been built on strong systems and processes which has also enabled Sri Lanka Insurance General Insurance category to innovate by bringing new products into the market and thereby staying close to its customers. Convenience has been a critical factor that the brand has been able to bring to them.

Also, the Sri Lanka Insurance brand has been ranked among the top four of the Most Loved Brands and the Most Loved Insurance Brand in the island in 2019.
