NDB conferred 5 awards in major categories by Global Banking & Finance Review, UK

Global Banking & Finance Review is a leading magazine that provides quality and in-depth insight to leading players and key figures with up to date information within the finance sector. The magazine honours institutions that stand out in their particular area of expertise in the finance industry. They recognise achievement, progress and inspirational change in finance globally. 

The awards recognise companies of all sizes which are prominent in particular areas of expertise and excellence within the financial world. The Banking Awards and the Financial Awards are known throughout the global banking and financial community as a symbol of excellence. The entire awards process includes nomination, selection and announcement and is done by the Global Banking & Finance Review of UK without any interference from the institutions.

NDB was felicitated with five awards by the Global Banking & Finance Review of UK. Accordingly, the awards for Best SME Bank Sri Lanka 2019 for the third consecutive year, Best Financial Services Group Sri Lanka 2019 for the second consecutive year, Best Bank for Project Financing Sri Lanka 2019 also for the second consecutive year, Most Innovative Digital Transformation Sri Lanka 2019 and Best Automobile Finance Bank Sri Lanka 2019 were won by NDB.

Throughout the years NDB furthered its support to SMEs, and strengthened its strategic blueprint for SMEs, to ensure focused, precise and fruitful offerings to uplift the economy’s backbone to greater heights. The bank’s carefully structured financial inclusivity initiatives are the epitome of the unwavering commitment to have every single individual participating in the nation’s development journey. 

Meanwhile, the NDB Group delivered a strong financial performance in 2018, recording an exceptional profit growth and capital generation. These five awards, which signify the bank’s exceptional feats in the local banking and financial industry comes in the light of NDB being named the ‘Best Domestic Bank in Sri Lanka’ at Asiamoney Best Bank Awards.
