HDFC Bank announces new Acting GM/CEO

HDFC Bank has announced the appointment of Chief Operating Officer S. Dissanayake as Acting General Manager and CEO.

The move follows as Upali Hettiarachchi, who functioned as GM/CEO on secondment basis from the Central Bank, was recalled by the latter. 

Dissanayake is an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka, with a BSc Degree in Management. He joined the HDFC Bank as an Assistant General Manager (Finance) in 1996 and was promoted to the position of Deputy General Manager (Finance). Dissanayake counts over 30 years experience in the field of accounting and finance in organisations in the public and private sector.
