Central Bank Governor to address AmCham luncheon forum today

Central Bank Governor Dr. Indrajit Coomaraswamy will headline a business luncheon today at Hilton Residences under the aegis of the American Chamber of Commerce in Sri Lanka.

Dr. Coomaraswamy will speak to AmCham members about the Central Bank’s Road Map for 2018 where he will outline planned policy directions and actions which will help the business community towards planning its business trajectory for 2018. 

Economic growth, monetary policy, key frameworks put in place to improve Sri Lanka’s macroeconomic conditions, fiscal consolidation and the outline of steps taken to strengthen regulatory and supervisory frameworks of the Central Bank will be some of the topics he will address.

Dr. Coomaraswamy has been the Governor of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka since 2 July 2016. He has 30 years of experience in policymaking and providing economic advisory services on both macroeconomic and structural issues at the national and intergovernmental levels.
