Bank of Ceylon launches World MasterCard to offer world class benefits

Together with MasterCard International, the country’s No.1 bank, Bank of Ceylon jointly launched the World MasterCard themed ‘Be the Master of your Journey’. 

The ceremony took place at the Bank of Ceylon Head Office Colombo with the participation of world renowned cricket icon Muttiah Muralitharan and GMOA President Dr. Anuruddha Padeniya, Society of Health Research and Innovation CEO Dr. Prasad Colombage, MasterCard Country Manager Sri Lanka and Maldives Santosh Kumar, Bank of Ceylon’s CEO/General Manager Senarath Bandara, CFO/DGM Corporate and Offshore Banking Russel Fonseka,DGM Product and Banking Development M.J.P. Salgado, DGM International,Treasury and Investment D.P.K. Gunasekara, members of the executive management and executive officers of the bank’s card centre.

The World MasterCard’s special feature is the free insurance cover up to $ 250,000 that is offered as the personal accident insurance cover. Further $ 100,000 emergency accident and medical expenses, evacuation and repatriation of mortal remains, $ 1,000 lost baggage insurance, $ 500dental care, $ 250loss of passport, $ 100 delay in checked in baggage, $ 2,500 personal liability, $ 50per day (maximum of 750) hijack daily allowance, $ 50per 12 hours (maximum of 500) trip delay and $ 500missed departure are among the other exceptional benefits attached with World MasterCard.
