Bank of Ceylon commences New Year with island-wide celebrations

The Bank of Ceylon commenced its operations for ‘2019-New Year’ with celebrations and held its main ceremony at the head office Colombo – ‘BOC Tower’ with a multi-religious ceremony with the patronage of CEO/General Manager Senarath Bandara.

The ceremony took place at the 1st floor of the BOC Tower with the participation of the bank’s customers, members of the Corporate and Executive Management and Bank officials. Focusing on the 80th anniversary that falls during the year, the Bank unveiled the ‘80th Anniversary Logo’ and the theme was revealed as ‘Leading the way through Innovation’. Parallel to this main event all BOC branches commenced duty after multi-religious activities with the participation of their customers.

In line with the New Year celebrations the Bank presented its newly introduced ‘BOC-CH17’ co-branded ‘Multi Currency Travel Card-MasterCard’ to Tuli Cooray, the Secretary General of Joint Apparel Association Forum by the Bank’s CEO/General Manager Senarath Bandara. The Director of MasterCard Sri Lanka Saliya Weerakoon and the CEO of Chanel 17 Ltd. Jumar Preena were also present at the event. The Bank of Ceylon and CH-17 co-branded Multi-Currency Travel Card are now loaded with USD, GBP, EUR, JPY, AUD, NZD, SGD and CAD currencies and can be used at ‘MasterCard’ accepted merchant outlets (POS), ATM cash withdrawals or for on-line transactions.
