Association of Professional Bankers felicitates Combank’s new Managing Director S. Renganathan

The newly appointed Managing Director of Commercial Bank of Ceylon Sivakrishnarajah Renganathan was recently felicitated by the Association of Professional Bankers Sri Lanka (APB) for reaching a top leadership position in banking. 

Renganathan’s career in banking and at Commercial Bank spans 37 years, during which he has exhibited leadership in many milestone initiatives. He was previously the Bank’s Chief Operating Officer/Executive Director, and has held several key positions in the Corporate Management of Commercial Bank. He was also the first-ever Chief Risk Officer of the Bank. Prior to being appointed Chief Operating Officer of the Bank, he spearheaded the Personal Banking Division as the Deputy General Manager.

Renganathan was also responsible for leading the Bank’s acquisition of the Bangladesh operations of Credit Agricole Indosuez (CAI) in 2003, Commercial Bank’s first-ever acquisition of a banking operation.
