OZO Colombo’s continuous commitment to tackling environment pollution

In its continuous efforts to build awareness on environmental pollution, OZO Colombo hotel commenced its bi-monthly initiative of organising a thorough beach clean-up along the parameters of Colombo Plan Road (previously known as Marine Drive). This initiative is undertaken by the hotel’s human resource and social committee and brought together a cadre of team members of all levels to join in the effort.  

OZO Colombo General Manager Roshan Adhihetty actively participated in this event and thanked each and every team member who volunteered to take part in the drive. “Our efforts are a manifestation of our continuous commitment to tackling environment pollution and safeguarding the community we reside in.” 

As a company, OZO Colombo follows international standards of waste disposal and invests in training staff on recycling policies. “Our long-term goal is not only to pick up trash from the shoreline, but also to educate our guests and the public on the responsibility of keeping our surroundings clean, and of course to get them actively involved in this initiative and support the adoption of improved waste management practices” he continued.
