Leading fin-tech company, Fortunaglobal, together with its creative arm Fortunacreatives, recently partnered with Green Choice Lanka, to embark on a unique environmental project in support of a sustainable Sri Lanka. The company organised a presentation on ‘The importance of Environmental Responsibility’, mainly focusing on Disposable Plastic Pollution and Solutions and the importance of reducing paper consumption.

The interesting and impactful presentation was delivered by Upekshi Perera – Founder/CEO of Green Choice Lanka, an environmental advocacy organisation. Impressing the principal insights shared by her at the event, a plant was handed over to each employee, as a gesture of good health, as its presence can help considerably in making the air around fresher and in turn, they pledged to accept the gift and protect the environment.

Fortunaglobal and Fortunacreatives Founder/CEO Suren Kohonbange commented, “Pollution caused by plastic and paper is causing marine and ecological disruption, causing great harm to our planet and its people. Environmental pollution as a whole is a global crisis that needs urgent attention and commitment from each one of us. We have decided to take on the mantle of protector of the environment by embarking on it as a key CSR and sustainability project. We are also committed to greening our environment and supporting reforestation projects. Being a fin-tech company, we are digitally empowering industries, thereby ensuring the island cuts back on our carbon footprint though sustainable paperless solutions.”
