Yamaha unveils latest keyboards in Sri Lanka for pros and kids

Yamaha Music Centre has announced the arrival in Sri Lanka of the latest models of digital keyboards for both ends of the user spectrum – professionals and beginners – from the world’s leading brand in the segment.

Out with the old and in with the new, Yamaha’s newest ‘PSR SX’ product line replaces the ‘PSR S’ series, setting new standards in high-end Digital Workstation sound, design and user experience for professional musicians while the all new and affordable PSSF30 and ‘Remie’ PSSE30 keyboards help kindle the passion for music in children, the Company said.

The two new PSR SX models, the PSR SX700 and PSR SX900 replacing the PSR S775 and PSR S975 keyboards have been meticulously crafted to intensify performance and enjoyment. Both models feature a completely redesigned user interface, new assignable functions, touch screen, FSB keyboard, Voice and Style expandability with Yamaha Expansion Manager.  The PSR SX700 keyboard offers musicians a seven-inch Touch FT Colour Wide VGA LCD screen, 1GB internal memory, a song playback function, joystick and an after touch function while the PSR SX900 further improves upon these features to provide artists with 4GB internal memory, a seven-inch touch TFT Colour Wide VGA LCD screen, Vocal Harmony including a guitar effects function, a song playback function, joystick, chord looper, and an after touch function. It also comes with two USB ports out of which one could be used as a Bluetooth adapter. Meanwhile, the compact and lightweight PSS-F30 and the ‘Remie’ PSS-E30 keyboards designed to spark children’s interest in music are fitted with a high-quality mini keyboard, free digital song book and a built-in speaker and headphone jack. They both weigh just 1.2 kg and are packaged in a travel size 506 mm x 54 mm. 

Designed for aspiring young maestros and maestras, the PSS-F30 has an exciting 120 instrument voices, 114 auto accompaniment styles and Smart Chord function and the option of switching between various functions such as Sustain, Metronome and more, while the simpler ‘Remie’ PSS-E30 offers 47 instrument voices, 74 sound effects, an educational ‘Guess the sound Quiz mode,’ 28 auto accompaniment styles and a Smart Chord.  The Yamaha Music Centre is currently the only music store in the country offering customers world class musical instruments, home audio, pro audio and studio recording equipment under one roof.
