The Addams Family in Lankan cinemas from today

American 2D/3D computer-animated comedy horror film The Addams Family will be shown in seven Sri Lankan cinemas from today.

The cinemas are Colombo City Center, Liberty By Scope, Majestic Cinemas, Empire Cinema, Regal Cinema Gampaha, Aruna – Kiribathgoda and Sky Lite Malabe.

The movie is based on the comics of the same name by Charles Addams. 

The film is directed by Conrad Vernon and Greg Tiernan, and stars the voices of Oscar Isaac, Charlize Theron, Chloë Grace Moretz, Finn Wolfhard, Nick Kroll, Snoop Dogg, Bette Midler, and Allison Janney.

Members of the mysterious and spooky Addams family – Gomez, Morticia, Pugsley, Wednesday, Uncle Fester and Grandma – are readily preparing for a visit from their even creepier relatives. But trouble soon arises when shady TV personality Margaux Needler realises that the Addams’ eerie hilltop mansion is standing in the way of her dream to sell all the houses in the neighbourhood.
