NDB celebrates Christmas with Christmas Carols 2019

NDB recently held the annual Christmas Carols with the participation of staff, family and friends. The carols began with a prayer and reflection by St. Anthony’s Church, Kochchikade Assistant Administrator Rev. Fr. Dilusha Chamara followed by a festive and joyful session of carols.

The NDB Christmas Carols 2019 hosted by the NDB Staff Recreation Club was directed and conducted by Nishantha Warnakulusuriya. Furthermore, in addition to Nishantha Warnakulusuriya with the Clavinova, Sajana Bhupathi playing the bass guitar, Mewan Shalinda Halpe playing the lead guitar and Shanil Wickremeratne with the drums, Charmal Gunawardena joined in from the NDB Finance Department playing the rhythm guitar and Nuwan Fernando from the NDB IT Department on the drums.

The choristers came from nearly all departments of the bank as well as from the NDB Group companies. 

Accordingly, Asanka Herath – Cards, Ashani Wijerathna – Group Risk Management, Azad Muthalif – Customer Experience, Damien Pietersz – Havelock Town Branch, Darren Pietersz – Central Sales, Farrah Fernando – Transaction Monitoring Unit, Gihantha Silva – Leasing Department, Harshi Fernando – Corporate Banking, Kiyoshi Fernando – Human Resource Department, Krishani De Alwis – NDB Investment Bank, Lakshika De Silva – Shared Services – CCPU, Malshika Goonewardene – Shared Services – CCPU, Marcella Ranasinghe – Credit Administration Unit, Mario Perera – Marketing Department, Nishadi Silva – Shared Services – CCPU, Ridmi Soysa – Shared Services –CCPU, Shaloni Fonseka – Credit Administration Unit, Sharon Desilva – Corporate Sustainability, Shehani Benjamin – Company Secretarial Department, Sheneli Jayasundara – Human Resource Department, Shenuk De Zoysa – Market Risk Management, Teloma Liyanage – Company Secretarial Department, Vaughn Ernst – Corporate Planning and Vihanga Deshan – Leasing Department were all a part of the carol service.

The NDB Staff Recreational Club often organises such events in order to encourage the bank’s employees, their spouses and families to be a part of the bank via its many recreation activities. The bank’s ultimate goal is to ensure employee satisfaction to the maximum.
