Naomi Rajaratnam is a name that is synonymous with dance. From a young age, Naomi was passionate about perfecting her skills and she pursued it with a spirit of excellence. And this is what led to her becoming one of the most respected names in dance.

Her dance school, ‘With My Feet’, has gained a reputation of putting on spectacular performances since the year 2000, for instance, the previous highly successful production, ‘Resurrection’. This year, Naomi takes her production to a higher level with ‘Grace & Glory’.

Every performance comes from Naomi’s heart, Resurrection, for example, was a resurrection in more than just name, as it was a return to the stage for Naomi as well as some of her dancers. Grace & Glory, therefore, will be no different.

Grace is defined as the smoothness and elegance of movement and courteous good will. Glory is defined as high renown or honour won by notable achievement and magnificence or great beauty. Grace & Glory are the two foundations of this show and with Naomi guiding this group of Sri Lanka’s best dancers, it will be a celebration of our island’s home grown talent.

Grace & Glory showcases a wide range of dance styles; from Oriental Fusion, to Jazz, Hip-hop, Rock and Roll, Ballet, Ballroom and Latin American. The show features 22 items with some of the performers being international award winning and championship dancers.

With My Feet is known for showcasing a production that is both out of the box and a dazzling demonstration of skill. A key feature that the audience is sure to witness is the happy and unique marriage of different styles of dance performed simultaneously, a feature that With My Feet is introducing at this show.

More than just presenting on an entertaining dance show, Naomi hopes to inspire the audience to believe that anything is possible, just as she did when she was an aspiring dancer. Grace & Glory will be the seventh production by With My Feet and will be held on 17 and 18 August at the Bishop’s College Auditorium. Tickets are priced at Rs. 1,000, Rs. 2,000, Rs. 2,500, Rs. 3,500 and Rs. 4, 500. Box plan is now available at the Auditorium office and on www.tickets.lk.  This production would not have been possible without our generous sponsors, Maliban Biscuits, DFCC Bank, John Keells Properties, Daily FT, Daily Mirror, Sunday Times, Hi TV, TV1, Legends and Yes FM.  Follow the journey on social media: Facebook – ResurrectionbyNaomi; Instagram – withmyfeet_graceandglory.
