Hindustani vocal recital by Govt. of India scholarship holder Wageesha Ruwangee

The Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre, High Commission of India, Colombo will be organising an evening of Hindustani vocal music recital by Sri Lankan artiste A.M. Wageesha Ruwangee at 6 p.m. on 17 October at its auditorium located at 16/2, Gregory’s Road, and Colombo 07. 

Wageesha Ruwangee holds a Master’s Degree in Music from the Visva Bharati University, West Bengal availing a scholarship from the Government of India. She also holds Sangeet Visharada from Bhatkhande Sangit Vidyapeeth, Lucknow. Presently she is engaged in teaching Hindustani classical music at Preuni International School, Athurugiriya to share her talent and training in India among students in Sri Lanka.
