Two students from Zahira College Colombo English Section, Areeb Faris and Shihaf Ifthikar, launched books titled ‘Dawn of Thoughts’ and ‘Kid in Me’ to mark World Children’s Day on 1 October at the College Abdul Gaffoor Hall. It was held under the patronage of Principal Trizviiy Marikkar. 

Special Guest Independent Television Network Former Director Hassim Omar received the first copies of books from the students. Hejaaz International School Principal Zareena Mohideen Hizbullah reviewed the books at this ceremony. Deputy Principals Ananda Ponnemperuma, Razeen Hassan, Vice Principals Hijazy Mohideen, M.T.A. Rauff, Sectional Head Shinaz Badurdeen, Librarian Anoja Renuka Serasinghe, Hejaaz International School Vice Principal Hasna Iflal, parents and students were present.
